Our client, an established private healthcare provider, is seeking a Utilisation Review Nurse for their offices in Greenock, Scotland.

The primary role of the post is to manage healthcare plan usage, maintaining a high quality of patient care and seeking to provide cost containment by determining the medical necessity and appropriates of setting and treatment.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for negotiating appropriate setting and duration of admission/treatment with specialists and recording the outcome of the said negotiation, if appropriate referring cases to the medical advisors.

This is an office based in which you will be involved in the case management process for individuals who have suffered injury or illness as they undergo rehabilitation/ recovery. Your caseload will be very broad, including oncology, orthopaedics, neurology, paediatrics, fertility and more, and this position will give you the opportunity to develop significant specialist clinical knowledge in so many specialisms.

Experience required:

*NMC Registered Nurse Adult or Registered Nurse Child
*Experience in an acute medical or surgical setting
*Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
*Ability to adapt to computerised data system.

This is a full time permanent role with a salary between £26,000 and £29,000, whilst an extensive benefits package will be offered including life insurance, critical illness insurance and a non-contributory pension.
