Are you looking to gain a wide range of nursing experience?
The Childrens ward has 19 beds plus one High Dependency Bed for children aged 0-16 years with a variety of medical surgical orthopaedic and oncology conditions. There is also the opportunity to rotate to the paediatric area within the Accident and Emergency department and gain experience there.
The ward is well supported by an Acute Home Care Team and paediatric specialist nurses in Oncology, Respiratory and Diabetes.
We require enthusiastic and motivated staff who are ready to take responsibility as a key member of a busy team. You will be actively involved in mentoring students and newly qualified staff. You will have good managerial skills and be a well-organised team player.
You will be required to demonstrate evidence of your commitment to continuing your professional development and in return we will support you to achieve your potential with the opportunity to further your studies at the Nightingale Institute or Greenwich University.
For the F grade post you will have RSCN/RN Child qualification and two years experience at E grade. ENB 998 or equivalent desirable
For the E grade post you will have the RSCN/RN Child qualification and one years experience at D grade
